Program of HIV Prevention and Treatment – Thailand

Backstory
“In 2004, PHPT’s Medical Science Department proved that a simple antiretroviral drug treatment applied during pregnancy reduces the [likelihood of] transmission of HIV from mother-to-child from over 20% to less than 2%. This treatment was immediately adopted by the Thai Ministry of Public Health as the standard of care for use in Thailand and is incorporated in the World Health Organization’s recommendations for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission in resource-limited settings.” – generosityinaction.org
I produced a series of trigger videos to show the work being done in Thailand on behalf of PHPT (phpt.org). My voice-over accompanies photos taken by Michael Wadleigh – partner at Gritty.org. I also created a website that was available as an interactive display at the XV International AIDS Conference, Bangkok, Thailand 2004.
