Logo – Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin

Backstory
Clients of a company I worked for belonged to an organization of physicians of Indian origin. Their mission is to improve health worldwide by empowering physicians of Indian origin, contributing to local community development, and reducing health inequalities. Ideally, the logo would communicate physicians, outreach, something about India.
What went right?
I produced a number of different logos and finally came to one I really liked.
I used the blue and white that are classically associated with hospitals and definitely associated with Mother Teresa. The blue is also used on the Indian flag for the Ashoka Chakra – a 24 spoked wheel representing many things – wheel of time, dharma chakra, and prior to that the spinning wheel. Replacing the spokes with hands to indicate assistance, helping hands, and the medical cross as an axle.

What could go wrong?
They didn’t use it. I won’t know why. I wasn’t working directly for the group so, many things may have gotten in the way. The logo they currently use on their site is this:

Notes to self
Get attached to the work – but let go of the outcome.
