Logos, print collateral – Manufacturer of quality rowing craft
Backstory
I updated the design of the original Alden logo when the company became Alden Rowing. I presented a couple of logos, one was very fluid, the other closer to the original. I really liked the fluid one (bottom) but it was not the pick.
The original logo.
I designed the hull logotypes Alden Whitehall and Alden Rowing. I discovered centering the text vertically with the capitals was a good look, and I have employed that on a few other logos since.
A brochure I designed for the Whitehall – an outstandingly beautiful boat:
They also needed brochures and the occasional magazine ad – here’s a pdf of this brochure – to admire the typography and wish you could still buy one of these.
Notes to self
If there is a next time, I’ll barter for the Whitehall. I found one for sale in British Columbia, nice logo.
