Backstory
The AcmeDroid Lab needed a website for its first application – WordDroid. We decided to keep with the steampunk theme and create an all-in-one-place dashboard. I designed a metal interface with stamped text, glowing elevator-esque buttons, recessed panels displaying terminal text. We used our custom AcmeGlyph’s font, AcmeDroid. AcmeDroids engineer, Troy Payne, crafted the javascript to fade in the views with a push of the elevator buttons.
Though we are on to other things, the website is still up in its original form at Acmedroids.com – where, shockingly, you can still download the app and it will mostly work on your current Android phone.
Notes to self
Clean well-written code lasts a very long time.
